Kris, Office Manager

I'm Kris and you will usually find me making sure the office is running smoothly. I have worked for Drs. Johannsen and Baggarly since 1998 and wear many hats. I am a Certified Optician for both eyeglasses (ABOC) and contact lenses (NCLEC) with over 27 years experience. It's always a pleasure to meet new patients and to greet familiar patients when they return each year.

Jason, Lab Manager

If you peek in our onsite optical lab, you will see me making your glasses! I have 17 years of hands on experience in my profession. After helping you select the right eyewear for your needs, the most rewarding part of my job is fabricating those lenses to the most precise prescription standards, giving you comfortable and clear vision! Please feel free to stop by our lab to ask questions or just say "Hello" the next time you're in our office. I truly look forward to helping you with your optical needs.

137.jpgPamela, Optician/LASIK Coordinator

I have one of THE most fun jobs! I help you with your selection of eyewear and lenses! I've been an optician for Drs Johannsen and Baggarly since 1998 and the most rewarding part of my job is when our patients return saying, "I love my new glasses and have gotten so many complements on them! Thank you so much for your help!"

I am also our LASIK coordinator, able to answer your LASIK questions, schedule your surgical appointments, and walk you through the entire procedure, setting your mind at ease. Call me anytime with your LASIK questions!

You can tell I enjoy my job because I'm known for always having a smile on my face. Bringing you over 40 years experience, I'm confident in my ability to help you navigate the many frame styles and lens options to find what is best suited to your lifestyle and prescription needs. I pride myself in building a rapport with each patient so that I know, from year to year, how you like your eyewear to look and feel.

312.jpgNicole, Optician/Contact Lens Coordinator

Hi, I'm Nicole. I am a Certified Optician (ABOC) with 18 years experience. You'll find me all over the office helping out where I'm needed but I spend most of my time in the contact lens room working closely with patients, training new contact lens patients on how to insert and remove contact lenses and helping patients select frames and lenses. My favorite part of being an optician is the excitement of helping a patient see clearly for the first time. Along with being an optician there are several things I love to do when I am away from work. My husband and I are both strongly family orientated and love spending time in the Midwest with my husband's family. We enjoy weekend trips to our place at Lake Mead, which includes water skiing and fishing (not me), and of course soaking up Vitamin D.  We also love camping in our 5th wheel trailer with our Miniature Dachshund, Harley. Our daughter has recently become involved in the theatre group in high school and my new love is watching her perform on stage.

317.jpgMarlene, Optometric Technician

I have a fun and interesting job. I am the one who does the infamous,"Puff of Air" test, you know, the one you always look forward to?!? Besides this eye pressure test, I test your visual fields, measure the curvature and power of your eyes, take topographic measurements of your corneas, and can take digital photographs of the optic nerve and retina! Neat, huh! Well, I think operating these high tech instruments is great and I look forward to explaining how they all work the next time you are in our office.

301.jpgJessica, Appointments Coordinator

I am always happy to help you understand your insurance benefits or schedule your next appointment. I have been in the optical world for 9 years and love being a part of an office that embraces new technology. (And Dr. Ann says I am like lightning on the computer.) In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and two small children whether it's working in our vegetable garden in our brand new house or travelling to our cabin in Mammoth.

081.jpgAndrea, Patient Relations

I am often called the "Director of First Impressions."  As you come into the office I am the voice greeting you with “welcome to our office” followed by“how can we help you?”  I am the first person to acknowledge your every need and make sure to direct you to the correct department for help. I have been working in this field for almost 7 years now, but before I worked in the optometry field I used to be a TV and newspaper personality in my native country of Ecuador since I was 11 years old, how fun is that? Aside from my 15 minutes of fame I enjoy drawing, reading and just about any fun, crafty activity. So next time you come into the office, feel free to ask me any question from "can these glasses be fixed?" to "how do read a teleprompter?" and I might just know the answer.

426.jpgGabriel, Dispensing Optician

Hey! My name is Gabriel, I have over 6 years of experience in the optical industry. I've done everything from helping patients pick new eyeglasses to fabricating the new lenses we put into them and everything in between! I really enjoy what I do, helping our patients find the latest and greatest in eyewear. When I'm not in the office I enjoy watching movies at the theatre, attending plays or just being out and about, especially when I'm hiking or running with my 1 year old pit bull, Keiko. I get a great sense of satisfaction when I see our patients come back and tell me how much they love their new glasses. Stop by sometime and say hello and I hope to see you in our office soon!

Pam, Licenced Optician

The most enjoyable part of my day is finding the perfect frame for my patients. With over 25 years in the optical industry, my expertise is in pediatrics, more specifically, in fitting special needs children with eyewear.  Often times it is difficult to find childrens frames that provide a comfortable fit for these small heads, ears and faces. My experience in making the necessary and critical modifications to these childrens frames is very rewarding for us both. When I am not working, I love to hang out with my kids and grandkids!

Jillian, Records Coordinator

Hi! I'm Jillian. I'm a student at CSU Fullerton studying to be an Optometrist and work part time for Drs. Johannsen and Baggarly. I organize and scan yeur chart into the computer before you see the doctor. Besides being skillful with computers, I assist with pretesting, answer the phone and greet patients.

413.jpgDarcy, Optometric Technician

As an Optical Technician, I pre-test and prepare our patients to be seen by the doctor. Our equipment is very high tech and I like explaining the different tests to patients. I also work with contact lenses and enjoy training new contact lens wearers. In my spare time I like to run marathons, which helps me to be quick around the office.

Olivia, Optician

"Hi" and "How can I help you?" are the two most common things I say! I'm the friendly and energetic person you will see at the front desk, ready to help when you come in for that exam, frame adjustment, or repair (hey, it happens). I love helping patients select new fun frames. When I'm not welcoming patients I can usually be found organizing the frames boards and displays, making sure we have all the latest frame styles ready for you.
